Teaching activities

For the participation to the graduate program, the student must attend Physics Courses or Residential Schools for a minimum of 8 credits.

A. Specific Courses (SP) give 1 credit/8 hours.

    The specific courses are organized at the University of Milano-Bicocca. Credits are assigned upon passing the corresponding exam.

B. Residential Doctorate Schools on specific topics  give 2 credits per week of school. Credits are assigned when a seminar is given about the school contents.

C. Two credits can be taken also from general courses (Research management, Intellectual property...) organized by the Doctoral School of the Milano Bicocca University.

In addition, students may take English Courses organized by the Doctoral School of the Milano Bicocca University.

The school steering committee advices students to take these courses/schools in the first two years of the program. The student typically attend two courses and two residential doctorate schools.
The students must also attend during the year the colloquia organized by the Physics Department.

The costs of the doctorate schools and of the courses are covered by the graduate school.

Colloquia of the Graduate School.

The graduate students must also attend during the year the colloquia organized by the Physics Department.

 

PhD Students' Seminar Session

A two hours seminar session is organized on May 26th 2016 in which the graduate students of the first two years give short presentations about their research. Students of the same area organize together each seminar presented by one of them. Program and slides.
